Information Sent Directly
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. If you contact us, the message and any details in it are available to us only so we can respond.
Ordinary Technical Logs
Hosting services may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are used. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar tools where those services are enabled.
How the Data Is Used
Technical and contact information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. Coachella Residents Directory does not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles.
Outside Portals and Links
Pages link to county and state portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted on those services is governed by their own privacy policies and practices, not this policy. The same applies to sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs in order to keep the service running. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the technical information described above. Disclosure also occurs when valid legal process requires it, and not for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. There are no visitor accounts here, so this service does not hold a password or resident profile that could be exposed.
People Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from someone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and we will delete what we can identify.
Your California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, can provide covered consumers with rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive-information uses, subject to exceptions. Since this reference keeps very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable technical logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Government records held by California, Riverside County, or the City of Coachella are outside this service’s control. A request to remove or correct a public record must go to the custodian, such as Riverside ACR, Riverside Superior Court, the Secretary of State, or the relevant city office. California’s public-record rules and the source office’s retention law control those records.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised wording will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
